British Camp

The British Camp early Saturday morning. This was a beautiful site for a period encampment.

Uh-oh... it's the Sergeant Major

Iain and Alistair get some fashion advice from Sgt Maj Peter Monahan and Lt Simon Henndy. The Sgt Maj took very good care of us, but the Lt did not seem to know that one of his jobs was to supply his men with whisky. He did, however, make the trip from England to be with us for the weekend, so we did make some allowances for him.

John, Iain, and Alistair

John, Iain, and Alistair kitted up in Roundabouts, Fatigue Hats, and Trousers to fit in for 1812. This period has to have the highest concentration of bizarre head wear of any period in history.

Alistair

We couldn't hide behind Trews for too long, so the 42nd Kit came out after dinner in time for a visit around camp and a walk over to the Regency Ball.
