Introduction

No. 3 Company, 42nd Royal Highland Regiment/ 1st Royal Scots Centre Company is a group of amateur military historians who feel that the best way to learn about the life and times of an early 19th century British Soldier is to kit-out in the uniform and equipment he wore and try to live history.

We protray two British Regiments... the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment for the Napoleonic Period, and the 1st Royal Scots Regiment for the War of 1812. It is our intention to portray these Scottish Soldiers accurately as research allows, and to demonstrate the Arms, Uniforms, Equipment, and Tactics employed by these men in the early years of the 1800's.

We take part in both Living History events and Tacticals in the Mid Atlantic area of the Eastern US.

No 3 Coy of the 42nd is a Member Unit of the Brigade Napoleon. The 1st Royal Scots is listed as a member unit of the 1812 Crown Forces. (see the 1812 page for more information on the Royal Scots)
